How To Get Tickets For LFW

How to get tickets for LFW, London Fashion Week Tickets, How to get Fashion Week tickets as a blogger, How to get free press pass as a blogger, Can small bloggers get free tickets to fashion week, London Fashion Week Tickets

You’ve seen your favourite bloggers, vloggers and YouTubers front row of a fashion show, snap chatting and getting papped by Paparazzi, wondering on ways they got to snag the golden ticket to attend the fashion mecca. I’m going to tell you a secret, these shows are not that exclusive, and it’s easy to get your hands on the tickets. London Fashion Week is notoriously known for networking, meeting celebrities, attending after-parties and being in the known. It’s all glitz and glam.

Last year, I was in your position, oblivious to the fact that I could acquire tickets without having to pay for the shows. But everything changed when I met a blogger who spilt the secret. Now I feel obliged to help others. From experience, emailing Pr companies to request tickets, and the sample can be a daunting experience, but it’s simple and straightforward.

There are rules, and the number one rule is making a good impression. It’s important to make sure you don’t get the Pr person name or designers name wrong as it’s a way of killing your chances of getting the tickets. Think about it, how would you feel if a Pr person contacts you, addressing you as ‘Dear Blogger’ or misspell your name.

As we’ve got the first rule, it’s time to know the person to contact. There’s an unwritten rule that a small blogger should only email PR companies for shows they know that they can get tickets from, but it sounds restrictive. Personally, I would say you should request tickets for as many shows as you want, it’s a good way of getting your name out, even if you don’t acquire the ticket for a particular show, some brands will keep you in mind for future events. You can download the British Council list of the schedule press contact here.

Getting guaranteed tickets means applying early. Some PRs plan their guest list three weeks in advance, and you want to be amongst those that are seated and not standing.

In your email, you should indicate how many tickets you want, for which shows, and the address to send your ticket. Some PRs won’t confirm that they’ve received your request, they’ll just send you the tickets without warning a couple of days before the show. Stating your blog stats, and what value you can contribute. Remember, they are all about exposure!

Lastly, it’s all about your manners. Make sure you individually address the name of the brands PR manager on the letter and mention the designers specifically. i.e. Dear (insert PR Name here), I’m a petite fashion blogger at and I would like to request a press ticket to the (insert designer name here) AW15 show then you can proceed to give them your stats etc. In the subject box, you can always write “LFW ticket Request” so that the person in charge of the designer knows exactly what your message contains, you don’t want your email sent straight to the trash.

Hope the post has been helpful and will inspire you to reach out and get your tickets.
